EOI 2027 Coaches

Redcliffe Leagues Netball Association (RLNA) is now inviting Expressions of Interest from enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate coaches who are committed to developing athletes within our development pathway.

We are seeking applications for both Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions across our representative and development programs for 2027.

HEAD COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful applicants will:
  • Demonstrate a passion for player development within a representative pathway.
  • Hold the required coaching accreditation (or be willing to obtain it).
  • Hold a current Blue Card.
  • Display behaviours aligned with RLNA's high-performance culture and values.
  • Plan and deliver engaging training sessions.
  • Lead and manage representative team at competitions and carnivals.
  • Effectively communicate with players, parents, officials, and RLNA board.
  • Manage challenges and conflict professionally and positively.
  • Work collaboratively with the relevant Program Coordinator.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and development-focused team environment.
  • Support individual player growth while striving for team success.
ADDITIONAL GBNL COACH REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong understanding of representative netball pathways.
  • Facilitate one training session per week.
  • Availability for Friday night fixtures and all coaching commitments at Nissan Arena.
  • Commitment to achieving both individual and team performance outcomes.

ASSISTANT COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
Assistant Coaches play an important role in supporting both players and Head Coaches throughout the season.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of training sessions.
  • Supporting game-day coaching, strategy, and player rotations.
  • Supervising athletes and maintaining player welfare and safety standards.
  • Recording statistics and assisting with player time and load management.
  • Contributing to player feedback and development discussions.
  • Assisting with team administration and communication where required.
  • Supporting a positive, professional, and high-performance team culture.
  • Providing additional assistance to the Head Coach as required throughout the season.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:
  • Be 15 years of age or older.
  • Hold a current Blue Card (or be eligible to obtain one).
  • Have previous coaching experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Be committed to the full season requirements of their chosen program.

GREATER BRISBANE NETBALL LEAGUE (GBNL)
Led by the respected community member Mark Kitson, whose experience and commitment have made significant contributions to the sport and association.
  • Season runs March to September 2027.
  • Training to be held on Wednesday (start date TBC)
  • U16 and U18 played on Friday night
  • U23 and Open played on a Thursday night

ACADEMY PROGRAM
Under the leadership of the highly experience Emily Beatty, who has a proven track record in high-performance environments and a strong commitment to player development.
Eight-week development program designed to enhance netball skills, game understanding and athlete development.
  • Commences: Thursday 3 June 2027 and concludes 5 August 2027.
  • Includes a two-week school holiday break.
  • Registration Fee: $100 which includes an official Academy Singlet and carnival participation fees.
  • Eligibility: Open exclusively to players registered in the 2027 RLNA Winter Competition.

COACHING ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS
  • GBNL: Minimum Intermediate Accreditation or currently working towards Advanced Accreditation.
  • Academy Program: Minimum Development Accreditation

BLUE CARD REQUIREMENT

All Coaches and Assistant Coaches must hold a current and valid Blue Card (or equivalent clearance) prior to commencing in their role.
